THE RUINS
The nasty lil gem of a horror film is the only film being announced for this years marathon. THE RUINS was slated for a video only release but Paramount have allowed us to present the only 35mm cinema screening in New Zealand.
Anyone who has read Scott (A Simple Plan) Smith's brutal novel should know what to expect. To the rest of you we implore that you avoid reading up on the film and don't rent the DVD which hits shops on Dec 3. Rent it again after the screening!
The reason why this flick bypassed a theatrical release here was because it didn't perform in the US and dark horror films traditionally don't perform well in NZ.
Their loss is our gain methinks!
