ULTIMATE MARATHONS
For our 10th Anniversary, we asked a selection of movie maniacs what their ultimate marathon line-up would be. You never know, a few of these may indeed screen this year.
Lars Nilson / Programmer / Alamo Drafthouse
Weird Wednesdays is the pet project of Lars Nilson, a film programmer at Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, who has an amazing knowledge of all kinds of movies. At Best of QTFest, when Quentin Tarantino drew a blank on a Seventies actress's name or an obscure Sixties film, Lars piped up with the right information. People think QT knows his shit. No way jose.

Bruce Fletcher / Programmer / Dead Channels
When Bruce Fletcher left the San Francisco Independent Film Festival (IndieFest), fans who'd relied on his horror and sci-fi picks were understandably a little worried. Fortunately, Fletcher's Dead Channels: The San Francisco Festival of Fantastic Film proved there's room enough in this town for multiple fests with an eye for sleazy, gory, gruesome, unsettling, and offbeat films, indie and otherwise.

Mike McPadden aka McBeardo / Writer / Mr Skin
McBeardo is the defining moniker of the Brooklyn-born miscreant occasionally still known as Mike McPadden and Selwyn Harris. He began with his early-90s sleaze-zine HAPPYLAND, followed by a stint as Entertainment Editor at Hustler, and gigs at numerous subsequent slap-mags, mo(i)st notably, Celebrity Skin. As a screenwriter, McBeardo gave us the softcore epic Animal Instincts 3: The Seductress (1995), as well as the XXX-rated milestones Devil in Miss Jones 5: The Inferno (1994), Sex Freaks (1995), Gregory Dark's Flesh (1996). Writings by McBeardo have been published in Esquire, Movieline, The New York Press, Playboy.com, and Peter Bagges HATE, as well as the books Bubblegum Music Is the Naked Truth (Feral House) and The Facsheet Five Zine Reader (Three Rivers Press).
